Imported from Ahmedabad – India, this Indigo Powder (Indigofera Tinctoria) is derived directly from the indigo plant. When used together with henna it can give a natural black shade to the hair.

This herbal indigo powder is 100% chemical-free, containing no PPD or additives of any kind, so unlike many chemical hair dyes, the indigo powder is safe to use long-term, and will not damage your hair and scalp.

Made with 100% INDIGO LEAF POWDER only, this is the NATURAL way to colour your hair Black! There are many ways to use Indigo Powder. Below mentioned is the most recommended way to achieve natural-looking black hair.

STEP 1 – TREAT YOUR HAIR WITH HENNA POWDER (SOLD SEPARATELY)

• In a bowl, mix the Henna powder with warm water or tea decoction or coffee decoction until you achieve a thick paste and cover it with plastic wrap. Allow the paste to cool down and let it sit for about 6-8 hours. You can add some lemon juice for shine. You can also add some yoghurt or egg for additional conditioning.
• Apply the Henna paste on clean, product-free hair and keep it for a minimum of 3-4 hours. The longer you leave the Henna, the darker it will be. Rinse thoroughly with normal water only. DO NOT use shampoo or soap.

• All the grey hair would have now turned to shades of maroon. Dry it well with a clean dry towel.

STEP 2 – TREAT YOUR HAIR WITH INDIGO POWDER

• Mix the Indigo powder in lukewarm water to prepare a thick paste. Let the mixture rest for 20-30 mins till it turns into a deep indigo colour. Apply the paste immediately on clean, product-free hair using a brush.
• Leave it on for 2-3 hours depending on the preferred intensity. It’s advisable to keep it on for up to 3 hours to get the rich black colour. Rinse thoroughly with normal water. DO NOT use shampoo or soap for the next 48 hours.

IMPORTANT

*Patch test advised to make sure you are not allergic to Indigo (Indigofera Tinctoria) powder. DO NOT use shampoo or soap for 48 hours as the color will keep developing.
